By Bay City News Service

People have been allowed back into the George D. Carroll Courthouse in Richmond after the building was evacuated this morning because of a bomb threat, a Contra Costa County sheriff's spokesman said.

The sheriff's office received word of the bomb threat at about 8:30 a.m., sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee said. The courthouse is located at 100 37th St.

Lee said sheriff's deputies searched the building but nothing suspicious was found, and normal operations resumed at about 10:15 a.m.
