Carmichael Arsonist Gets 4 Years in Prison

An 18-year-old who confessed to starting 15 fires in the Carmichael area earlier this year has been sentenced to four years in state prison, authorities announced.

Sacramento, CA – Carmichael Arsonist Sentenced to Four Years in State Prison

Morgan McGinn, the 18 year old who admitted to starting 15 fires in the Carmichael area during August and September, has been sentenced to four years in a California State Prison. 

After piecing together the evidence found at multiple fires, Metro Fire Arson Investigators arrested Morgan McGinn on October 1, 2012. He was charged with five counts of felony arson and two counts of felony burglary. McGinn plead guilty this week in the Sacramento Superior Court to one count of Arson to a Structure.
