The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department has issued a Silver Alert for a missing Carmichael woman who suffers from dementia and went missing at around 3 p.m. Friday afternoon, a sheriff's department spokesman said.
Barbara Langford, 75, lives in the 4100 block of Sangamon Street and was last seen near Fair Oaks and Sunrise boulevards about 3 p.m., according to Sgt. Jason Ramos. Langford is considered at-risk due to her dementia, he said.
Langford has short, red-brown hair and blue eyes, is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. She last wore a blue jacket with white sleeves with a Disney California Adventure logo.
Ramos said Langford may be driving a dark blue 2003 Toyota Rav4, with a Florida license plate that reads S146NS. An Obama-Biden sticker sits in the rear window, deputies said.
Similar to Amber Alerts, Silver Alerts are issued for the missing elderly.
