Fullerton police today were looking for a suspect in a series of arsons escalating in size and damage, the most recent one destroying a grand piano at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center.
The first blaze, which was on March 30, was reported to police April 7, Fullerton police Cpl. Tim Kandler said. The second fire was April 26 and reported on Sunday. The most recent one was about 4:30 p.m. Monday, according to Kandler.
The latest blaze was set in a storage shed containing a piano, Kandler said.
Police have surveillance video, which they are reviewing for clues, Kandler said. Police were looking for a woman, who was wearing a pink, short- sleeved shirt with dark pants and a white backpack.
Muckenthaler Cultural Center officials say there were up to seven blazes over the past month at the center.
In the April 26 blaze the undercarriage of a GMC van was burnt and the March 30 blaze was in a trash can, Kandler said.
