Sig-Alert Canceled After I-680 Truck Fire
A semi carrying Alhambra Water was fully engulfed in flames.

FREMONT, CA — A sig-alert on I-680 has been canceled, but not before a fully involved truck fire turned the Friday afternoon commute into a miserable endurance drive. It's happened just south of Vargas Road.
The truck was on the right hand shoulder when it caught fire, causing a small vegetation fire next to it.
Two lanes were blocked because of the fire and emergency efforts. The HOV lane was opened to everyone to get traffic moving.

And, for fans of irony, the semi that went up in flames was an Alhambra Water truck.
