Glendora Police Chief Urges Propriety in Midst of Super Bowl Fun

As Super Bowl Sunday approaches, authorities warned Southlanders they will be out in force this weekend, looking for people driving while impaired.

“For football fans, Super Bowl Sunday is one of the best days of the year,” Glendora Police Chief Tim Staab said.

“Have a great time, but please don't allow the celebration to result in a drunk-driving arrest,” Staab said. “Act responsibly, designate a sober driver before the Super Bowl party begins, and leave your car keys at home.”

Law enforcement personnel will conduct stepped-up patrols and sobriety/driver's license checkpoints at various times this weekend.

Anyone seeing a suspected drunken driver was urged to call authorities.
