Holiday DUI Arrests Down From Last Year

The number of holiday DUI arrests fell from the previous year during Los Angeles County’s anti-DUI Holiday campaign, according to the Avoid the 100 DUI Task Force.

The 17-day campaign, which ended Tuesday, New Year’s Day, yielded 2,168 countywide arrests for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Last year during the 19-day Holiday DUI crackdown, 2,433 arrests were made.

In Glendora, officers had their hands full dealing with loud parties, drunken behavior and DUI reports. Two individuals in Glendora were arrested during the New Year holiday for driving under the influence.

The next DUI crackdown by L.A. County law enforcement agencies is scheduled for Super Bowl Sunday in February, followed by St. Patrick’s Day festivities in March.
