$260 for 9 days: Host a Student from China!
Stipend + Local Staff Provided
Do you have a loving family and a spare room
available at your home? Invite an international student to stay with you from August 1-9!
We are seeking qualified host families to provide a safe and nurturing home environment for international middle school students attending The Arroyo Pacific Academy in Arcadia, CA for a 5 day academic camp.
*Participating families will be offered a stipend of up to $260 for hosting a student for 9 days. Those who assist in recruiting and assist in helping us get successful referrals will receive $150! Participants must mention the original referral’s name in their inquiry.
Students will attend classes from 8:30am-3:30pm at Arroyo Pacific Academy for five out of the nine days and will take part in extracurricular activities from 3:30pm-5:00pm. The students have their own insurance and spending money. The ideal host family would speak English at home and ensure that the student eats a nutritious breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. The family should also provide transportation to and from school during these five days. Being able to involve the student in family events and other activities at night is a must.
We will provide you with host family training
and 24-7 emergency support. We will also provide guidance on what to expect.
If you would like to take advantage of this unique opportunity to make a difference in a young person's life with an enriching intercultural experience for your family, please respond by providing a brief description of your home and why it would make a great place for the student to stay during this summer.
