Local Man Represents U.S. in National Soccer Tournament
A Glendora man captains the United States under-20 national soccer team, so far a winner in the men's under-20 tournament.

Midfielder Marco Delgado started and played the first 64 minutes of a game against Bermuda Wednesday, July 16.

The other Los Angeles-area player on the U.S. team, UCLA defender Michael Amick, played the entire second half.

The United States and Australia, both 2-0, will play for the championship on Friday in the 2014 Men's National Training Center Invitational.

The U.S. made it to the final following a 4-0 victory over Bermuda; Australia beat Chile 5-4 this week.

Friday's game will be held at the StubHub Center in Carson, the final of a four-team, round-robin tournament.
