The grand opening of the new Chick-fil-A store in Azusa is not until Thursday, Feb. 21, but more than 100 would-be customers arrived at the future location early Wednesday morning, hoping to snag a spot for a one-year supply of free Chick-fil-A meals.
Store officials say that 165 customers from all over the San Gabriel Valley were waiting in the parking lot of the Azusa location at 900 E. Alosta Ave. early Wednesday morning.
According to the rules, only the first 100 customers will receive the prize for 52 coupons for Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwiches, Waffle Potato Fries and a medium drink. A raffle determined placements for the first 100 customers who will wait in line until the store’s grand opening Thursday at 6 a.m.
