It’s where people go to get their kicks, so the saying goes, but is Route 66 living up to its historic image in Glendora?

Once a main transportation corridor that spanned eight different states, the portion that runs through Glendora is home to some hometown and famed establishments such, and the historic.

But according to the city, Route 66 generates far less revenue than other business centers in town. However, it’s also provides a significant number of workforce opportunities, including , America's Christian Credit Union and Loopnet.

Route 66 also boasts a number of automotive businesses, but the area also struggles with a high number of vacancies.
