A ticket with five numbers, but missing the Mega number, in Friday's drawing of the multi-state Mega Millions lottery was sold at Glendora Liquor, 223 W. Foothill Blvd., Glendora and is worth $259,368.

There were 12 other tickets sold with five numbers, but missing the Mega number, two each in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Texas and one each in Arizona, Illinois, Ohio and Oklahoma, the Multi-State Lottery Association, which conducts the game, announced.

Each of those tickets are worth $250,000.

California law requires major payoffs of lottery games to be paid on a pari-mutuel basis.

There were no tickets sold with all six numbers in Friday's drawing and the estimated jackpot for Tuesday's drawing will grow to $189 million.

The numbers drawn tonight were 9, 23, 27, 49, 51 and the Mega number was 38. The estimated jackpot was $173 million.

The drawing was the 18th since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.

The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number is 1 in 175,711,536, according to the Mega Millions website. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 40.

The Mega Millions game is played in 43 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
