PHOTOS: Opening Day of the Land and Sea Farmers Market

Scenes from yesterday's Harbor Village farmers market.

Now with the year-round officially open, Sundays at Harbor Village will never be the same.

Presented in conjunction with , and Harbor Village Merchants Association, the Land and Sea Farmers Market celebrated its grand opening yesterday with much anticipated fanfare.

The parking lot and mall came to life with colorful displays of food, flowers, art and crafts, live music, a jumpy house, petting zoo and the wonder and excitement that comes with people discovering something new.

In fact, the Harbor Village area was invigorated all day long with a steady stream of visitors, buying up local and organic food and sampling some of it like goat's milk fudge, honey, cilantro hummus, and spinach pakoras with a pumpkin ginger agave chutney.

Only two hours after opening, Yogi's Cooking sold every single one of their 150 samosas and Miz Lynn's Pies soldout of their signature sweet potato pie.

Still, there was plenty more to be had with vendors selling honey, almonds, strawberries, greens, smoked salmon, and sausage.

The farmers market is every Sunday, year round, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. located inside the mall and front entrance to The Shops at Harbor Village, 270 Capistrano Road.
