Daniel Berry, 20, of Santa Rosa, was driving a 1982 Toyota pickup truck east on River Road just west of Sunset Avenue around 6:50 p.m., CHP Officer Marcus Hawkins said.
The Toyota veered a few feet over the double yellow lines on the road and sideswiped a 2011 Nissan Juke, Hawkins said.

Berry was pronounced dead at the scene and his passenger, a 17-year-old Santa Rosa girl, was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for two broken legs, he said.
The driver of the Mazda 3, a 49-year-old Guerneville woman, was transported to Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa Medical Center for minor injuries, Hawkins said.
The driver of the Nissan, a 43-year-old Guerneville man, was not injured in the collision, he said.
