The Healdsburg Parks & Recreation Department is hosting a Summer Program Open House on Saturday -- May 17 -- from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Healdsburg Swim Center, 360 Monte Vista Ave., on the high school campus.
This event provides families an opportunity to learn about and register for the varied camps and swim lessons offered by the Parks & Rec department this summer.
Summer programs for all ages, from toddlers to adults, begin June 9. Registration for all programs is now open.
During the Open House, the pool will be open for free recreational swimming; pool staff will be on hand to conduct swim lesson level evaluations to ensure children are placed in the appropriate class and camp leaders will be present to provide information on the traditional day camps as well as sports and specialty camps being offered for 3 year olds to teens.
Information about the department’s activity assistance program, which helps eligible Healdsburg residents with program fees, will also be available.
It will be a fun afternoon for all.
Individuals unable to attend may still learn about the Parks & Recreation Department’s programs by picking up the Spring/Summer 2014 Recreation Guide available at the Community Center, 1557 Healdsburg Avenue, City Hall at 401 Grove St., the Senior Center at 133 Matheson St. and the Healdsburg Swim Center or by visiting healdsburgparksandrec.org.
