Man Robbed of Cell Phone Saturday Morning

Hermosa Beach police officials say they are looking for three men who threatened and hit the victim near Valley Drive.

Man Robbed of Cell Phone Saturday Morning

A man walking through Clark Stadium in the 800 block of Valley Drive around 2:30 a.m. Saturday was robbed of his Android cell phone by three men who verbally threatened and hit him, according to the Hermosa Beach Police Department.

During the contact between the four men, the victim dropped his cell phone which was recovered by one of the suspects, said Detective Mick Gaglia. A suspect then asked the victim if he had any money and offered to sell the phone back to him.

The victim told the threesome he did not have any money. The suspects then fled the area, according to HBPD. The victim then went home and contacted HBPD several hours later for a report.

The stolen property is an HTC Android X-1 cell phone with a red case and diamond stickers.

Police are looking for two male Hispanics and a white male believed to each be 20-25 years old. One Hispanic suspect is described as 5'10", 140 pounds, with short dark hair, blue shorts and shirt. The other is 5'6", 140 pounds, with short dark hair a tank top shirt and shorts. The male white is described as 5'8", 140-150 pounds, with blond hair and a white shirt.
