Hike Rescued From Runyon Canyon

HOLLYWOOD HILLS, CA — Firefighters located and assisted a woman who had a medical issue while hiking Friday in Runyon Canyon in the Hollywood Hills, authorities said.

Firefighters were sent by air and on the ground to the area of 1900 North Runyon Canyon Road to aid the distressed hiker, said Amy Bastman of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

At about 11:30 a.m., they were assisting her down the trail and she was in good condition, Bastman said. The nature of her medical complaint was not available.
