Extra Patrols Will Watch out for DUI in Dana Point Friday
The Orange County Sheriff's Department will send out extra patrols into Dana Point Friday night, looking for impaired drivers.

So-called "DUI saturation patrols" will deploy 7 p.m. Friday until 3 a.m. Saturday in the cities of San Clemente, Dana Point and San Juan Capistrano, according to a department press release. Deputies will be targeting areas with high frequencies of DUI collisions and/or arrests.

The goal of the program is to reduce the rate at which local residents are killed or injured in DUI-related collisions, officials said.
