A total of 780 homes were sold last year in La Jolla real estate—an average of precisely 15 per week. 363 of those were detached homes, while 417 were attached. The median home price was $979,600. Altogether, 382 homes sold for at least $1 million—including 122 for at least $2M, 53 for at least $3M, 18 for at least $5M, and 5 for over $10M.

The smallest and cheapest home sold was a $202,000 La Jolla Village condo measuring 504 square feet. The oldest one sold was a Village home built in 1914—nearly a century ago.

The largest and most expensive residence of 2013 was an $18.5 million La Jolla Farms home with nearly 15,000 square feet of living space. The contemporary-style estate includes a 2-bed 2-bath guest house, a 2,100 sqft entertainment building and a 400 sqft gate house. Residents have spectacular oceanfront views of La Jolla Cove and paragliders flying along the coast. Amenities include 50-foot entry gallery, pool with hot tub, sauna & BBQ, library, heated-floor master bath, dog kennel, lath house, and home theater wired for a recording studio.
