SDSU Digital Media Course Clicks with Students

SDSU Digital Media Course Clicks with Students

Would you like to learn how to make people click (on your website that is)?

That’s the goal of the “Digital Copy Editing and Design” course through SDSU’s College of Extended Studies that takes place Thursdays, May 8-29, 6-9 pm and is part of the Professional Certificate in Digital Media.

Students will learn how to write compelling headlines and copy, integrate exceptional images and master content creation for web communications. This class will cover critical principles of web writing and design, including usability, accessibility, segmentation, scanability and more.

Instructor Aaron Hoskins is the supervisor of digital operations at Sharp HealthCare.

Cost of the course is $289 or $309 after April 28. For more information, visit www.neverstoplearning.net/interactive, call (619) 594-0845 or email agonsalves@mail.sdsu.edu.

Denise Flores, a former student in the Digital Media program, noted the diversity of her classmates.

“There were students in the 50-plus range, who are catching up on the new things trending. There were journalists who are trying to go digital. There were people who are trying to be more competitive by learning new skills. And then there were young people trying to gain a competitive advantage in their field or switch over to a new field,” she said.

This is a SDSU Research Foundation program.

SDSU's College of Extended Studies reaches out to the greater San Diego community, the nation, and the world with a wide variety of lifelong learning classes, seminars, and certificate programs. Career advancement courses are offered in many areas of management, leadership, and quality improvement while self-enrichment courses range from accounting to web design. Additionally, the College offers more than 50 certificate programs, online courses, and many other learning opportunities.
