Body Found Off 91 Freeway Is Missing Woman: Police

A woman’s body found just off the 91 Freeway in Riverside was that of a missing person, a police lieutenant said Monday.

The body was found about noon Sunday in a canal near Pierce Street and Riverwalk Parkway, said Riverside police Lt. Christian Dinco.

Police had been looking for a 45-year-old woman last seen Saturday and she is the woman who apparently drowned in the pond, Dinco said.

Her name was withheld pending family notification.
