Alberto Antonio Gallegos, 22, was arrested sometime around 9 p.m., after store employees reported a shoplifting-in-progress, according to a news release from the Lake Elsinore Police Department.

Following his arrest, a search warrant was served at his home in the 15000 block of Ficus Street, according to a sheriff's news release.

"In Gallegos' bedroom, officers located methamphetamine and other items associated with the sales of methamphetamine and counterfeit U.S. currency," reads the release, prepared by sheriff's Sgt. John Carlberg.

Gallegos was booked into the Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of burglary; receiving stolen property; possession of drugs; possession of drugs for sale and possession of burglary tools.

There was no counterfeit cash booking charge listed on the sheriff's inmate website.

Gallegos was released on bond for $30,000 bail and was ordered to appear in court April 20.
