Motorhome Blaze Closes SB I-15 Lanes Through Lake Elsinore: CHP
A motorhome was fully engulfed in flames Thursday midday, backing up southbound I-15 traffic for miles.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Heavy traffic delays were expected along the I-15 southbound through Lake Elsinore after a motorhome caught fire Thursday, California Highway Patrol says.
Southbound I-15 freeway traffic was backed up to Alberhill and slowed through Lake Elsinore as a result of the blaze and cleanup. As of 12:30 p.m., the accelerator lane from Central Onramp to the Southbound 15, as well as the I-15 southbound #2 and #3 lanes were temporarily closed to traffic, according to CHP.
Just after 11 a.m., a motorhome caught fire in Lake Elsinore just north of Main Street on the I-15 southbound. Emergency responders arrived to find the motorhome fully engulfed in flames on the right side of the freeway. Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department firefighters went to work, extinguishing the blaze by 11:30 a.m., spokesperson Maggie Cline De La Rosa said.

No one was injured in the fire.
According to witnesses, the motorhome made it to the right side of the freeway when flames erupted from under it. The blaze sparked a small spot fire in the surrounding brush that was quickly extinguished.
