'Moving Wall' Coming to Temecula Oct. 9
The Moving Wall is nearly 252 feet long, and will be lit overnight and available to guests 24 hours a day for the five-day display.

The Moving Wall, a half-scale replica of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington D.C., is coming to Sam Hicks Monument Park on October 9 -13. The Manzanita Ranch Inc., a charitable human service agency dedicated to veterans, will be hosting The Moving Wall’s appearance in SW Riverside County.
The Opening Ceremony is scheduled for 12 p.m. on Thursday the 9th. The Opening Ceremony speakers will include Juan Dominguez, Jeff Stone, Melisa Melendez and Tim Lickness. The Great Oak High School Band with the Anthem being sung by Mayor Maryann Edwards will furnish music. The Riverside National Cemetery Color Guard will present the Colors. Admission to the Opening Ceremony and all visits to The Moving Wall are at no charge.

The Organizational Committee has several off-sight events planned for the weekend of the display. Starting on Friday, there will be a concert at Storm Stadium at 7pm featuring Michael Thomas & Friends. The next Morning the Lake Elsinore Rotary Club will host a pancake breakfast in the Storm Stadium Parking lot and stage a ‘Rolling Thunder style’ bike ride of various veteran organizations from the stadium, down the I-15 to Old Town Temecula and a visit to The Moving Wall.
A Concert For Heroes will be held at the Old Town Pub & Grub from 2pm to 6pm on Saturday featuring The Inland All-Stars Band. A donation will be asked for.

On Sunday the Wildomar VFW will host a pancake breakfast in their parking lot, then at 10am they will stage a Cruise of local hot rods and classic cars to Old Town Temecula and a visit to The Moving Wall.
A Concert For Heroes will be held at the Temecula Beer & Wine Garden from 2pm to 6pm on Sunday featuring The Inland All-Stars Band. A donation will be asked for.
The Moving Wall will remain open until 3:00pm on Monday. There will be a lowering of the flag ceremony at 3pm on Monday the 13th.
The Inland All-star Band is a collection of various local musicians who have come together for this weekend the recreate the sound track of the Vietnam War era.
Sam Hicks Monument Park is the location of the Temecula Museum and is perfectly located on the edge of Old Town Temecula. (Address: 41970 Moreno Rd, Temecula, 92590). The Moving Wall is nearly 252 feet long and has a 120-degree angle at the halfway point. It will be lit over night and will be available to guests 24 hours a day for the five-day display.
