El Toro Post Office to Reduce Hours

The Raymond Way branch is one of seven Orange County post offices affected by cutbacks.

El Toro Post Office to Reduce Hours

Effective April 1, the El Toro post office in Lake Forest will reduce its hours, officials said.

The Raymond Way office is one of seven Orange County postal outlets scaling back hours to save money, according to a U.S. Postal Service press release.

The El Toro branch's new hours will be 8:30 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.

The other post offices cutting hours are in Irvine, Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, Laguna Hills and Orange.

The locations were chosen "after careful analysis of customer traffic patterns and transaction history," the USPS said.

All of the affected branches have automated kiosks available 24 hours a day to purchase stamps, weigh mail and ship packages, officials noted.

In addition, usps.com enables customers to buy stamps, print shipping labels and download postage, schedule a free package pickup, change their address when they move, look up ZIP codes and hold mail when they are away.
