Family Loses Everything When U-Haul Stolen From O.C. Hotel
Be on the lookout for a 20-foot Ford E-450 truck with Arizona license plates, AG38205, and left rear-wheel damage.

SANTA ANA, CA --- Santa Ana police today asked the public to keep an eye out for a stolen U-Haul truck which contained all of the possessions of a family moving from Sacramento to Arizona.
The unidentified family made a stop in Santa Ana last weekend to visit with relatives, according to Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.
They stayed at the La Quinta Inn and Suites at 2721 Hotel Terrace on Sunday night and parked the 20-foot, Ford E-450 truck about 9 p.m., Bertagnasaid. When they came out to get the truck at 6 a.m. Monday, it was gone.

"It had everything they owned in it,'' Bertagna said. "They're mostly concerned about their computers and pictures -- they have two small children.''
The children's toys were in the truck, as well, Bertagna said. A bulletin has been issued to all of the area law enforcement agencies, he said.

"We're hoping to get these people their stuff back,'' Bertagna said. He said the truck has "minor collision damage to the left rear wheel well'' and Arizona license plates -- AG38205.
