Santa Ana Man Named in Lake Forest Weekend Fatal Collision
A fatal car crash in Lake Forest over the weekend claimed the life of a Santa Ana resident. Alcohol might have been a factor.

LAKE FOREST, CA — The Orange County coroner's office has released the name of a pickup truck driver killed Sat. Oct. 1. The Lake Forest collision occurred when two-vehicles crashed in Lake Forest, near the Foothill Towne Centre. Alcohol might have been a factor.
Jose Barraza-Soto of Santa Ana, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, at 2:18 a.m. in the area of Alton Parkway and Towne Center Drive, according to the coroner's office.
The crash involved a Hyundai and a Ford F-150 pickup truck. The Hyundai allegedly collided with the Ford, which rolled and killed the driver now identified as Barraza-Soto, said Lt. John Roche of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

The driver of the Hyundai, the lone occupant inside his vehicle, and a passenger in the pickup truck were rushed to an area hospital with minor injuries, Roche said
The crash was investigated as a possible DUI, he said. No arrests have been made pending blood test results.
