Saturday was a day of achievement for Campolindo High of Moraga in cross country and volleyball.

The girls volleyball team won by three games to one over Sacred Heart Cathedral of San Francisco, according to the Contra Costa Times. The Cougars qualified to play for the Northern California championship Tuesday.

Campolindo junior Aidan Goltra on Saturday won the state Division III boys cross country race by less than a second over Myles Smith of St. John Bosco-Bellflower.

The race was over a 3.1-mile course at Woodward Park in Fresno, according to a report in the Contra Costa Times. This came a week after Goltra won by 15 seconds on a sloppy course in Hayward in the NCS championships , according to the Campo athletics webpage.
