Explosions Heard Before Livermore House Fire

Fire crews were able to save some of the family's belongings after extinguishing the blaze.

LIVERMORE, CA — Witnesses heard several explosions moments before a fire broke out in a Livermore home early Friday morning, fire officials said. The blaze was reported in the 900 block of Orion Way at about 12:50 a.m.

Livermore-Pleasanton Fire crews responded to the fire and found the home in flames. Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze in about 40 minutes and helped salvage some of the family’s belongings. Fire officials said most of the home was saved despite some smoke and water damage.

No one was injured during the fire and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
