Rick Lamb retires after a 37-year career serving the area as a firefighter.

We received a note from Joe Testa, a battalion chief for the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department, informing us that longtime firefighter Rick Lamb retires Tuesday.

Lamb, who served 37 years as a firefighter, lives in Livermore with his wife and two daughters.

He was originally a Livermore firefighter before the consolidation and served the vast majority of his career in Livermore, Testa said.

Here's to a happy retirement, Rick!
