8 Kids, 2 Adults Injured In LA Van Crash
Ten people were injured in the Monday afternoon crash.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Ten people, including eight children, were injured Monday afternoon when a transit van crashed on a San Fernando Valley freeway
The single-vehicle crash was reported around 2:15 p.m. Monday on the southbound side of the 170 Freeway near Sherman Way in North Hollywood, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
It was unclear what caused the crash, but the silver van would up facing the wrong way alongside the center freeway median.

Some thunderstorms moved through parts of the San Fernando Valley Monday afternoon and the freeway appeared to be wet at fire crews responded to the scene, but it was unknown if the weather played a factor.
In total, ten patients were taken to one or more local hospitals in fair condition, according to the LAFD.

Aerial footage aired by ABC 7 showed paramedics assisting children and multiple ambulances at the scene.
The four left lanes of the freeway were closed while fire crews and paramedics responded to the scene of the crash.
