Body Found Inside Burning Minivan In LA

Firefighters extinguished a minivan fire in downtown Los Angeles Sunday, where they recovered a body inside the vehicle.

LOS ANGELES, CA — First responders extinguished a minivan fire in downtown Los Angeles Sunday afternoon, where they found a body inside the vehicle, authorities said.

Paramedics and firefighters were dispatched to the 8400 block of South Flower Street, where they found the burning van, Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department wrote in a statement.

The Los Angeles County Coroner was working to determine the deceased person's cause of death and identity. Arson investigators were also working to determine the cause of the fire.
