Los Altos Boy Scout Refurbishes Laptops to Benefit Sunday Friends' STEM outreach

Terence Lee from Los Altos High teams up with Sunday Friends to recycle, refurbish, and redeploy used laptops to support STEM education

Terence Lee, a local troop 31 boy scout from Los Altos High is teaming up with Sunday Friends to recycle, refurbish, and redeploy used laptops and computer equipment to support the nonprofit organization’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) program. Please e-mail him at TerenceLeeT31@gmail.com if you wish to support his Eagle Service Project.

“Thank you for dropping off electronics at the Computer Refurbishing Eagle Workshop last Saturday at the Los Altos Lutheran Church,” says Lee. “The event was very productive. Scouts worked diligently to wipe clean all personal data; download basic applications (Firefox, Anti-virus, OpenOffice software, Adobe Flash Player etc.), install operating systems, and inventory laptops.”

Lee would like to express his gratitude to Los Altos Lutheran Church for providing him with a great venue for his Eagle Service Workshop and all the special accommodation.
