Amber Alert Issued For Children Taken From Prunedale

Two young children were abducted in Monterey County Friday, triggering a statewide Amber Alert, according to state emergency officials.

Onika Edwards, a 6-month-old girl, and Enrique Joseph, 6, were allegedly taken from the Prunedale area of Monterey County at 11:52 a.m. by Marquis Edwards, 21, the father of Onika, emergency officials said.

The abduction apparently occurred after some sort of altercation between Edwards and the girl's mother, officials said.

Daniels was last seen driving a white Buick Century with a California license plate No. 4RKD823 and is possibly headed toward Fresno, according to authorities.

He is described as a black man who is 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighs about 250 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans and has a tattoo on his upper right arm that says "ANT DOG," authorities said.

Unika Edwards is a 6-month-old black female, 2 feet tall and 25 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Enrique Joseph is a 6-year-old black male with medium complexion, 4 feet tall and 67 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a green shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.

Anyone who sees Edwards is asked to call the Monterey County Sheriff's Office at 831-755-3718.
