Los Gatos-Monte Sereno police have arrested a registered sex offender who they allege has molested several local boys. He's charged with annoying or molesting a child under 18 and working unaccompanied with minor children in violation of his parole.

Police began investigating Richard "Ricardo" Williams in November of 2010 after receiving information that several teenage boys had been harassed at Los Gatos Health and Fitness Club on Main Street, said Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Sgt. Kerry Harris.

According to police, Williams hired the youth to work for him, washing cars in the athletic club parking lot. He was not an employee of the Fitness Club.

"As a condition of payment for the work he hired them to complete, Williams often required the boys to shower with him in the locker room and would pressure them to disrobe and enter the hot tub with him," said a press release issued by the department Wednesday afternoon.

Harris said Williams was arrested Nov. 28 with the help of the Hayward Police Department after local authorities obtained a $350,000 warrant for his arrest.

Police say Williams carried business cards that said, “The Car Manager,” and reportedly spent time around athletic clubs, bicycle shops, and “AMA” motocross bicycle racing events.

Williams is believed to have worked washing, detailing or repairing cars through Northern and Southern California. He also apparently spent some time in Phoenix, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City and parts of Texas during the last two years where he may have come into contact with additional minor victims, police said.

Anyone with information regarding these crimes, or who believes they or their children may have been victimized by Williams, is encouraged to contact Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Det. Bryan Paul at 408-827-3213.
