Tonight's game against the Saratoga Falcons is obviously a big one for us. We have to win this game and the final match against the Homestead High School's Mustangs at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 10 at Homestead Stadium, in Cupertino.
The game against Saratoga had lost a lot of importance during the last decade, as over the years the Cats have dominated the games. So, over time, I think our boys lost focus as to how significant a game it truly is for our school and community.
Last year put a stop to that. We learned what it was like to be on the losing end of a rivalry game.
This year the team is determined to reassert our dominance. The records mean nothing in a game like this.
The Cats seem very focused and ready to start a new streak.
Friday is also Senior Night and the match is the last scheduled home game for the boys along with what we hope will be a great crowd.
This is what big game rivalry should be about. Two schools playing for the pride of their teams, respective schools and community.
Hope you can come out and support the Cats in their continuing goal to reestablish themselves.
