New Assistant Superintendent Appointed

CJ Cammack has been selected as the new Assistant Superintendent of Martinez Unified School District.

New Assistant Superintendent Appointed

CJ Cammack, Director of Student Services at the Martinez Unified School District, has been appointed Assistant Superintendent. The unanimous vote was made last week by the school board.

Cammack will take over for current assistant superintendent Rick Rubino, who is leaving this summer to take a job as superintendent of another district.

A popular administrator known for his problem-solving skills and upbeat personality, Cammack's appointment was met with enthusiasm by superintendent Rami Muth.

"CJ Cammack is an exceptional administrator," she said. "CJ is a man of impeccable character.  He is able to garner the trust of those who work with him because they are confident that he is trustworthy and reliable.  His words and actions are always in complete alignment.  He is an outstanding leader because he is passionate about his work and his enthusiasm and support permeate his work environment. Mr. Cammack demonstrates a personal commitment to excellence and models what it means to be a lifelong learner. He represents the next generation of school leaders and we are so fortunate that he has chosen to share his many talents with us in Martinez."

"Over the last seven and a half years in Martinez I have been very lucky to work along side so many talented and dedicated professionals," Cammack said. "In my different positions with the district over years one thing has been very clear to me; it is the people of Martinez Unified that make this such a special district. The outstanding community support is a vital part of our district's success. Public education in our state is facing many serious challenges. The community of Martinez, the staff of Martinez Unified and the students of our district have not let these challenges impede our progress toward increasing student achievement. I am very proud to be a part of Martinez Unified.

"I am extremely grateful and appreciative that Rami and the School Board have given their recommendation and approval for my appointment as Assistant Superintendent," he continued. "I don't take my roles and responsibilities lightly, nor do I take lightly the privilege they have provided me to continue growing personally and professionally within the Martinez Unified School District.  I look forward to continuing my efforts of providing the very best for the students, staff, parents and community of Martinez Unified."
