Menlo School seniors are throwing a fashion show in Menlo Park next week, punctuating their senior year with a fabulous exclamation point.
For their senior project, Alexandra Douglass and Kara Rosenberg planned a charity fashion show called Runway to Hope.
“It is an evening all about bringing the community together to support a great cause,” Douglass said. This is the first time that the Shelter Network has had a fashion show of this caliber, she said.
is a place in Menlo Park where families can live while they stabilize their lives. It is one of four transitional housing developments in the Shelter Network.
Children who live at the Haven Family House will be modeling donated clothing during the show.
The teens would like people who wish to attend to RSVP by May 14 by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tickets to the show can be purchased at the door; they are $15 for students and $20 for adults. Proceeds from the event will go to the Haven Family House.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 18 in the Menlo Athletic Center.
