A roundup of the week's police log includes ongoing complaints about a humming noise coming from an exhaust fan at Beerworks, vandalism, and three deer standing in the median.

Tuesday, September 4

5:13 p.m. – A missing 12-year-old girl with fuchsia hair wearing denim short shorts, tan knee highs, brown lace-up boots and a dark tank top was located and safely reunited with her mother on Greene Street.

Wednesday, September 5

5:55 a.m. – A woman on Sunnyside Ave. reported her back bathroom window looked like it was broken into, and waited in her car for police to arrive. They checked her house, but it was an apparent oversight, and the window had been left open.

8:30 a.m. – A man in a silver Jeep Cherokee hit another car and drove off without stopping while leaving the Malugani Tire Center at 493 Miller Ave. Police will be tracking him down and giving his information to the person who was hit.

11:40 p.m. – A resident who just moved to Throckmorton Ave. complained of a humming noise coming from the roof of a building. Police determined it was coming from an exhaust fan at . In on Sunday, Sept. 2, a resident requested an officer meet him and go on search for sound. They tracked it down to the bar, and owner told police the fan is shut off each night by 11:00 p.m.

Thursday, September 6

5:28 p.m. – Three deer were spotted in the center median at Camino Alto and Miller Ave., and the caller was concerned they would step into traffic.

6:22 p.m. – A silver Mercedes was keyed on Lovell Ave. The four panels on the right side were damaged, and the caller said she thinks she knows who did it.

7:28 p.m. – A dog was reported to be barking for 40 minutes in the area of El Paso and Sunnyside Ave. Police were unable to locate it.

Friday, September 7

12:10 a.m. – The exhaust fan at Beerworks was still running. Police took decibel readings from all four sides of the building, and the humming noise did not exceed regulations. The information was sent to code enforcement.

Saturday, September 8

5:34 p.m. – A woman on Eliot Ct. reported that someone tried to break into her car overnight. The passenger door was partly pried open and now won’t close. Nothing was missing, but there were clear fingerprints on the paint of the car. The report was placed on file.

8:20 p.m. - Police arrested a local resident and charged him with disorderly conduct after he refused to leave at 38 Miller Avenue. He was sitting at the end of the bar and police removed him from the restaurant. He was asked to leave twice but kept returning, according to the report.

10:03 p.m. – A white 2012 Audi with a dealer license plate was reported to be going possibly 70mph on Old Mill Street and Throckmorton Avenue.

11:01 p.m. – Live music at the sparked multiple noise complaints. Police told the management they would need a permit in the future, and the club stopped the band.

Sunday, September 9

8:03 p.m. – Lights from a construction crew on Miller Ave. were blinding drivers, a caller reported. Police determined there was no safety hazard.
