Mission Viejo, CA--It's July 11, and if that doesn't strike you as special, your friendly neighborhood convenience store has a reminder for you.

On July 11, also known as "Free Slurpee Day," visitors to any 7-Eleven stores across the country moms of the Facebook group "Orange County Moms" celebrated by taking their little ones in for a simple summer delight.

Customers and lovers of the super sweet, chilly drink lined up for a small sized complimentary offering of the famed "Slurpee."

In 2016, 7-Eleven’s signature Slurpee drink turns 50 years old, and the store is releasing a special flavor to celebrate.

"Fanta Birthday Cake" is a combination of vanilla ice cream and birthday cake flavors.
