Acton Man Identified in Mission Viejo Motorcycle Fatality
An Acton man was identified in a motorcycle fatality that occurred just before 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 23.
MISSION VIEJO, CA — An Acton man was identified Sunday night after Friday's fatal motorcycle crash just east of Mission Viejo.
Authorities identified the rider involved in a single vehicle motorcycle crash as Richard Nordland, a 26-year-old resident of Acton, Calif.
Nordland was killed just before 7:30 p.m. on Friday when his motorcycle crashed on the eastbound highway near Hot Spring Canyon Road, according to the Orange County Coroner's office and California Highway Patrol.

CHP stated that the rider ended up approximately 75-feet away from the motorcycle following the crash.
