Car Fire Stalls 5 Freeway Rush-Hour Traffic: CHP
The car fire was reported on the northbound side of the freeway traveling through Mission Viejo Thursday morning.
MISSION VIEJO, CA — A car fire was reported on the 5 Freeway in South Orange County Thursday, stalling early-morning traffic and triggering a police response.
The fire was reported at 8:13 a.m. on the northbound side of the freeway near Alicia Parkway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities said the car was smoking in the middle lanes of the freeway.
