Man Fatally Shot Near Monrovia ID'd as Omar Solano
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau or Crime Stoppers.
EL MONTE, CA -- Authorities Wednesday identified a man who was shot to death in a residential area of El Monte.
The shooting occurred shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday in the 9800 block Giovane Street, according to the sheriff's department.
Omar Solano, 25, of El Monte died at the scene, said coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter.

Sheriff's homicide detectives were assisting El Monte police detectives in the investigation. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500, or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222- TIPS.
