The primary elections are long gone and the winners face off in 36 days (and counting).

Mountain View Patch has everything you need to know before you vote at by mail or at the different polling site on Nov. 6. Don't forget that the voter registration deadline for California is Monday, Oct. 22.

What To Know Before You Vote

Fill out a voter registration form in person at Registrar of Voters, 1555 Berger Drive, Building 2, San Jose, CA 95112.

Download a voter registration form from the Board of Elections website and mail it to Registrar of Voters, P.O. Box 611300, San Jose, CA 95161-1300. Forms cannot be faxed or emailed.

    There are 20 polling sites in Mountain View and one in Los Altos where registered voters can go cast their vote.

    If you are unsure where to go, visit the  Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters Internet site.

    Not going to be in town on Election Day?

    U.S. Representative 14th and 18th Districts

    State Senate, 13th District

    • Jerry Hill (Democrat) current State Assemblyman and business owner
    • Sally Lieber (Democrat) environmental policy activist

    State Assembly, 24th District (Current State Assemblyman: Paul Fong, transferring to the newly-formed 28th District)

    Mountain View City Council race

    • Margaret Capriles
    • Chris Clark
    • John Inks
    • Mike Kasperzak
    • John McAlister
    • Jim Neal

    Mountain View Whisman School District Trustee race (3 Elected)
