Amazon Hiring Another 1,000 in the Inland Empire

Booming business has the online retailer on a hiring spree.

Looking for a job? Amazon is hiring another 1,000 workers to fill full-time jobs in the Inland Empire.

The positions are at the Redlands, San Bernardino and Moreno Valley fulfillment centers.

“We’re growing to meet customer demand in Southern California and these new full-time positions are because of the great workforce we have found in the Inland Empire,” Amazon spokeswoman Ashley Robinson told the San Bernardino Sun.

Redlands Mayor Paul Foster applauds the company’s hiring move.

“Amazon coming to the region last year was an important step in the region’s recovery,” Foster said in a statement. “Their continued growth and ongoing involvement in the community sends a clear message that Amazon is dedicated to the Inland Empire and, more importantly, that it has found a qualified workforce that makes it want to stay and grow here.”

This hiring spree will bring Amazon’s full-time work force in the Inland Empire to 4,000.
