Body of Missing Lake Elsinore Man Found

Hector Ramirez, 44, was found at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 29000 block of McVicker Canyon Park Road. No foul play was suspected.

A missing Lake Elsinore man was found dead in the McVicker Canyon area of Lake Elsinore following a police search, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reported Saturday.

Hector Ramirez, 44, was found at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 29000 block of McVicker Canyon Park Road, said Sgt. Steve Brosche of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Ramirez was previously reported missing by Reynaldo Sanchez, who lived with Ramirez at their Lake Elsinore home, said Brosche. The Riverside Mountain Rescue Unit began the search of the canyon. Human remains were found in a rural area of the canyon with the assistance of a helicopter.

The airlifted body was confirmed to be that of Ramirez.

No signs of foul play were suspected in regard to Ramirez’s death, Brosche said. The investigation is ongoing.
