Ex-Firefighter On Trial For Rape Faces New Molestation Charges

New molestation charges have been brought against a former firefighter already facing trial for the alleged December 2009 rape of his fiancee in her Murrieta home.

William Robert Bolduc, a former Chula Vista firefighter while she was under the influence of anesthesia from a medical procedure and videotaping the act, is now charged with child molestation.

Bolduc, 56, a one-time Menifee resident who had been out on his own recognizance, was taken into custody this morning at Southwest Justice Center in French Valley as a hearing for the rape trial was underway.

He was now being held on $4 million bail—$1 million for the previous charges and $3 million for the new charges, according to John Hall, spokesperson for the Riverside County District Attorney's Office.

"That (bail) was the determination that the judge made based on his review of the evidence in the case," Hall said.

Bolduc was charged with two counts of lewd acts with a child under 14 years old, and two counts of engaging in oral copulation or sexual penetration with a child under 10 years old, according to court records. There is also a sentence enhancement of alleged sexual offense with more than one victim.

The alleged molestations date back to 2004, records state.

An anonymous source told Patch the charges involve his former stepchildren.

Bolduc pleaded not guilty to the new charges, records showed, and was scheduled to appear in court again Jan. 12.
