Fire Ravages Mobile Home in Murrieta

A fire broke out in a mobile home in Murrieta early Saturday, causing $200,000 in damages, a fire official confirmed.

Sixteen Murrieta firefighters responded to the blaze on Via Norte Vista that was reported at 3:45 a.m. and knocked down by 4:31 a.m., according to Matt Corelli, an engineer/paramedic with the Murrieta Fire Department.

There were no injuries as a result of the blaze, and the sole occupant of the mobile home—located within a senior living community off Murrieta Hot Springs Road—was out of the structure prior to firefighters' arrival, Corelli said.

"Mobile homes on each side were at risk but no damage occurred," Corelli said.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation, he said.
