Hit-and-Run Driver Sought in Deadly Hemet Crash: Police
Police are asking for help finding the hit-and-run driver in the deadly incident.

HEMET, CA - Police are looking for the motorist who struck and killed a 66-year-old man at a Hemet intersection and fled the scene this week.
The hit-and-run fatality occurred about 6:20 p.m. Tuesday at Florida Avenue and Mayflower Street, according to Hemet police.
"Investigators learned a 66-year-old Hemet man was walking across Florida Avenue and was struck by a white sport utility vehicle near the intersection," Sgt. Dan Reinboldt said in a news release.

"The driver of the SUV did not stop, and fled the scene," he said. "The pedestrian later succumbed to his injuries."
The victim was identified only as a Hemet resident.
