Ever wanted to start a career in law enforcement? Well, it’s time to get your application material together, because the California Highway Patrol is hiring.

According to the agency, they’ll be accepting applications for individuals who want to be a CHP officer, and will be hiring cadets.
“We are looking for members of our communities to join one of the most well-known law enforcement agencies in the world,” said CHP Commissioner Joe Farrow. “The CHP is looking for men and women who represent the diverse communities that we serve to provide the highest level of Safety, Service, and Security to the people of California.”

The time window to apply is brief, though, lasting only four days from 8 a.m. on Monday, March 2, through 5 p.m. on Thursday March 5. It’s the first time in 2015 the agency is accepting applications.
If you’re interested in the job, minimum qualifications include:
- must be 20-35 years old
- a U.S. citizen
- have no felony convictions
- be a high school graduate
“Each applicant will be required to complete the entire testing process including a physical ability test, written test, background investigation, medical/vision evaluation, and psychological evaluation,” a CHP announcement said.
